Dia de Colegio - Tercer Dia // School Day - Third Day

Today we woke up a little bit later than normally, around 7 : 20, and around 8 we were at school. We had panceta, scrumbled eggs and sausages for breakfast ( the typical yankee breakfast) with our friends and hosts and then we went to our clasrooms. I had spanish classes, religion, maths, history, enviromental science and even photography! History's teacher lent me his Iphone to play some of its games while my classmates were doing a test...it was kind of strange, but he was very friendly. All the students looked at me while I was walking through the hallways, they asked for photos with me, I was supposed to be famous for playing the guitar... Around 2 : 30 we changed our clothes and played a soccer match against the Marist High School's official soccer team...we won 5-4! Later when the match finished, we ate something in the school and then Jenny and I went to Kate and Manuel Mauvecin's house to have some fun, and later on we went to the shopping. We bought some things, hanged around and we came back. And here I am, we are now going to eat Greek food and we're going to sleep. Days here are VERY tiring, it's just 8 o'clock and I need to sleep....but I have to be patient, tomorrow is Halloween! I'm very anxious, I'm going to continue telling you more things later, best wishes and hope you all are fine!

Segundo Dia // Second Day

Today I woke up around 10:15 and I went downstairs to have breakfast. I was really surprised when I saw the table...three different types of cereal, grape juice, orange juice, cereal bars, coffee, milk, yogurth, among other things, more than I was expecting! We all met at the school and then we went downtown. A very clean and modern city, with a lot of order. People were so educated and friendly, and everything was completely different from Buenos Aires. Then we visited the Willis Tower, United States' tallest building...just incredible. We took the elevator to the last floor and we could have an extraordinary panoramic vist of the city. We bought some things in the building and then we walked a few blocks and had lunch at Mc' Donalds. After that, we continued walking along the city centre. We saw the famous Michigan Lake, we went to the Millenium Park and we saw kind of a strange sculpture (you can see it below) After the long walk, we went to the bus and everyone returned home. Around 6, Jenny and I went to a Jenny's friend's house, Anthony, and had dinner in there. We ate some lasagna and then we went to Teresa's house, Francisco Garcia Almassio's host. I played and sang some Argentinian songs on the guitar, we had some fun with Julian, Conrado, Manuel and Francisco and their respective hosts and then we came back home. Now some minutes in the computer and I'm going back to sleep, a very tiring day, but definitely a very enjoyable one!

Llegamos al fin - Primer Dia // Finally we arrived - First day

After a long and tiring flight, we arrived in Chicago, Illinois, our final destiny. We are already feeling Halloween, all the houses of the neighbourhood are decorated whit its respective decorations (pumpkins, skeletons, witches, etc.) Cleaning and order are extreme, and it can be simply seen by ourselves, people from here are Very nationalists, about 80 percent of the houses have their own United States flag. Sporst like sofball, baseball, american football, and soccer are very important here. We have been visiting a lot of places with my host's car (she drives) and we had a lot of fun with his friends too. We went to a typical United States place, a Texas' style restaurant, and we also had some donuts. The family, what else to say...they are looking after me in an exceptional way, they are charismatic and funny. The school is huge, and is rather complete, we entirely hope that on tuestday we can assist normally. The only thing I wish is our trip continues the way it started, in an incredible way.
