Field Museum - Planetario - Dia Doce // Field Museum - Planetarium - Twelfth Day

Today was an eventful and tiring day, we went to school until 9 and then went to the planetarium. It was pretty good, but there were things that were not of our interest so we did not pay much attention. In turn, within it, we went to a smaller planetarium, which is the oldest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere, incredible. Later, we went to the museum of history and science of Chicago, better known as the Field Museum ,one of the largest and most complete museums in the world. We explored it several times, went to most exhibits, watched a movie in 3-D, and after being able to enjoy it completely went back to school. I went to the house of Morgan, Euge's host, and from there went to the train station to take a train to go downtown. We went shopping (we were 7 in a taxi at a moment) and then went to eat at Dick's, a rather peculiar restaurant where they give you some paper hats that read something funny about you. And I've just came back, very tired and with very little desire to return to Buenos Aires, I love this place, if it were for me I would stay another month without hesitation.

Shedd Aquarium - Onceavo Dia // Shedd Aquarium - Eleventh Day

Yesterday we went to school until 10, when we went to the famous Shedd Aquarium. Before that, at the morning, we danced with some kids at school and they sang for us too. When we arrived at the aquarium we were impressed how big it was, with many species of aquatic animals / amphibians. We went to a show with dolphins, seals, and belugas, and we even saw a movie in 4-D! It was amazing, they threw us water, wind, they touched us, it was very funny and we enjoyed it to the fullest. At night, after we returned from the tour, we went to the famous Cheesecake Factory, we were almost 30 guys there, and tried the cheesecake that is so special in that place...awesome.

Museo C.I - Decimo Dia // S.I. Museum - Tenth Day

Today elections were held here! I think Obama is going to be re-elected... even though most of the people here want Romney to win. So well, today we went to school until 9, and then went to the Chicago's Science and Industry Museum. We were there for around 2 hours and a half, and then we went back to school, where we had lunch. By the time I came back home, I went to Kate's house, Manuel's host, some of us gathered, we ate and watched a movie. Jenny couldn't go because she had to work, at the moment she is working in a chocolate store. Apart from everything...in the U.S.A. people do not have "bidet", they don't have... We chatted with our hosts about it and they said we were weird, that they couldn't understand what that was and that they would prefer not to go the bathroom ever than using the "bidet", we couldn't believe it. Hahaha but well, I wanted to share that!

Noveno Dia // Ninth Day

Today it was quite a normal day, we went to the school as always, but with the peculiarity that we stayed after class with the students who conform de Spanish Honours Society. We talked with them, saw a video of our school and then we went back to our homes. When I arrived we saw some T.V. and I took a nap, and I've just came back from the Ridge's Mall, where we ate some chicken wings with the spiciest sauce I've ever tried...and it was not the spiciest they had.

Octavo Dia // Eigth Day

Today we went to mass around 12 with some friends, then we went to have some donuts and later we went downtown, more precisely to the Lincoln Park Zoo. It's a public zoo, that means that there's no entrance fee, everyone can enter and it's completely free. The zoo itself was nice, but it wasn't something that really caught our attention, it was very cold, so animals were inside. Later, around 5 30, we went to have supper to a very famous restaurant, in where waiters were a bit peculiars... All of the sudden, the YMCA song started to sound, and al 4 waiters stood up over some big windows and started to dance it, it was the funniest thing of the day, later, we came back to the outskirts by train with the guys (the trains were completely different from the ones from Argentina, very safe, modern and clean). We went through a Starbucks, and now we came back home.

Indiana - Septimo Dia // Indiana - Seventh Day

Today we woke up around 10 and we went to another state! To Michigan, in Indiana's state. We went to a huge place with a lot of outlets to buy clothes, food, etc. I bought a lot of things... We walked for about 3 hours buying things and having fun, and around 4 30 we came back to our houses. At night we went to Kate's house, Maniche's host, and we saw a horror movie all the Argentinian's together with their respectives hosts.

Navy Pier - Sexto Dia // Navy Pier - Sixth Day

Today we went school normally until 12, we ate and later we went downtown, to Navy Pier, a kind of pier with a funhouse, a fortune wheel and those things. We bought some things, we took a ride on the big fortune wheel and then we walked through the city centre by the main avenue. We bought a lot of things, which were very cheap and then we went on a trip on a really big boat through the river and the lake, it was incredible. The city, as I had already said, it's very big and it has some extraordinary buildings. When we came back, we went to Teresa's house, Francisco's host, and we did a bonfire in her backyard, we had fun, ate something and now here we are, about to sleep, very tired, tomorrow Saturday we are going to Michigan, Indiana, to a clothes outlet.

Quinto Dia // Fifth Day

Today we normally went to school, some students gave us a little speech in the school's conference room about marist spirit...and again they made me play the guitar and sing, hahaha I'm getting used to it. We had a mass that lasted an hour because of the All Saints Day and then we continued clases normally. When I came back home I took a 2 hours nap, and around 6 30 Kate and Manuel picked me up and we all went to Orland Neighbourhood's Mall, along with Julian, Facundo, Andres and Madeleine. I bought some t-shirts, we ate at Taco Bell (definitely the best part of the day, just incredible), we had some milkshakes and we came back home. Now I'm going to see some T.V. and then we are going to sleep, tomorrow we are going to Navy Pier!

Halloween - Cuarto Dia // Halloween - Fourth Day

Last night was Halloween! It was awesome. We went to the school, and people from the school gave us baskets with sweets, chocolates and that kind of things, we even saw some students wearing strange pijamas, and we saw one wearing a cow custome... Around 5 I got dressed up and we went out to do the traditional Trick or Treat! I got dressed up as a baseball player, it was really funny. It was kind of shocking, seeing all the little boys so happy, going from house to house shouting "Trick or Treat!!" We obtained some candies and chocolates and around 7 we went to Kate's house, Manuel's host, she was having a party there. We played baseball, football, we had some fun and we had an incredible time in there. There was a moment when they brought me a guitar and they asked me to play and sing in front of all of them...firstly I was quite embarassed, but it was something they were going to enjoy, and so they did. We ate there and around 10 we came back home, after one of the most tiring days since I am in Chicago, but definitely, the best! It was something unique, something there's not in Argentina, something it would be good that all of us could experience at least once, Halloween.
